As a young Latinx millennial, I have come across a lot of racism in Portland. But, I still keep pushing forth, for better or worse.

Though I am put down at times, I see hope. As a Latinx man there is the stereotype of us working just in manual labor; I was part of it when I was 10. However, I hated it, and eventually had the courage to change.

I've grown enough to tell my father that I don't want to follow that path. I've come across the idea of pursuing college and becoming a mechanical engineer.
